The technique for today was totally new to me, pounded flowers. My daylilies were about done blooming, but I found one to use. There is no purple on this flower at all, so I don't know where the purple came from!
I lightly sponged the white areas with lovely lilac and green galore. The attached flower was one I had colored months ago. It's my friend's stamp, so I don't know the name of it. I'm very pleased with the results except that the watercolor paper warped. I have the card under some heavy books now, trying to flatten it. ;-)

How strange to get the purple, but how pretty too!

Oh, this daylily looks super! Love the colors even if you didn't think this was the color you would get. What an interesting challenge and your technique is lovely.

Val, this is so pretty! Hope you didn't run into any bees, as I know from experience that's not a good thing! Got stung on Friday and my ankle is still swollen and very, very itchy!

Your daylily is sooo pretty in the background and how interesting that it smashed out with different colors!!! I love the colors you used and the row of pearls is such a pretty detail!!!!
