How strange ...... crushed bee Balm that's RED, RED, RED becomes pink. The stem, when crushed, becomes not vivid green, but an olive mixed with brown. I'm awfully glad I didn't plan on RED for today!!
I'm giving you a sneak peek of a new set for July from Mark's Finest Papers, called Flourishes and Frame. I love the small flourish!! And isn't that frame just beautiful??!!
Thanks for looking, and if you get a chance, here's my blog.

Sooo pretty!!! I love how you layered this, Anne....the pounded flower layer looks like dp!!! I tried using some tiny red flowers and they actually stayed red but the other flowers I used looked strange. I think I'll go back to the drawing board on that one!!!

How interesting about the bee balm turning pink. This is a most interesting technique. Love the frame and very pretty card.

Anne, simply fabulous. I get what you mean........I did use red. My petunias are red and purple. My purple ones came out much better than the red........so, I watercolored it in!

I like it, and the frame makes it look like another layer. One thing many of us are learning with this technique is you'll never know what colors you'll get from any given flower. TFS

I think a lot of colours changed in the pressing . The pink certainly looks lovely - so does your layout. This makes me think of a rosette - with a Congratulations or Well Done sentiment .
