I guess I'm posting this as a "What not to do" -- my white craft ink smeared everywhere when I Mod Podged it! Oh well, I was going for a distressed look and I guess I really got it! Anyone know how I can fix this? Please let me know your ideas!
The clipboard is basecoated with magnolia white, then rose acrylic paint, then sanded to create a distressed look. The craft inks were dried with heat embossing gun and then left to air dry for almost 24 hrs before applying bottom c/s border and then applying a coat of Mod Podge over all.
The bottom celery piece is faux linen on white glossy cardstock and the craft ink did NOT smear on this piece! Small celery piece dividing the paper from the clipboard I did to create the look of ribbon because I wanted the board to be as flat as possible since DD will actually be using this to draw on. It is 3/8" wide and is stamped with EFP, reading: special girl...sister...daughter...friend... with white and celery craft ink.
This is for my daughter's 6th birthday today (she adores PINK!) She wanted something she could carry around & use to hold her drawing paper, etc. (I don't think she'll mind the smears and I kind of like the look anyway!)
Stamps: Love Without End, Tall Tales Alpha, EFP
Craft Ink: White, Regal Rose, Celery
Paper: White Glossy, Celery
Accessories: SU & Offray Ribbon, Soft Subtle Buttons, Glue Dots, Acrylic Paint, Mod Podge, Paint Brush, Sandpaper

Sharon, I think this looks great!! If you wanted to avoid the smudges, try Krylon workable fixative and let it dry thouroughly then stamp and that will probably help. I use a lot of spray finishes instead of Mod Podge so it doesn't smear. I think this is adorable and your daughter will just love it!

Sharon, this is just awesome!!! I love the buttons on the clip.
I am sorry about the smears (it still looks great) and even after heat setting the ink it smeared? What a bummer! I hope her BDay was wonderful!!
