This panel was made by stamping with resist ink on glossy paper and then sponging with distress inks. Then I used sticky ep and leafing to do the leafy branch on top. The sentiment was stamped with Stazon ink so that it would stick to the resist and not end up unreadable. Glad I tested on a scrap first!
I'm not real happy with the leafing because a lot of it didn't rub off as well as it should have to reveal the details of the leaves. I have no clue what I did wrong; possibly the glossy paper was a no-no with this technique?

I'm no expert, but I think it worked great. I thought that was the way the technique is supposed to look. I love the blended colors in the background and your top branch really stands out.

I think it's a lovely card. It looks like maybe you got a lot of the embossing ink for the top leaves. but I also think that anyone thats sees it will be impresseed with it. Not everybody does cards and the ones that don't make great friends. Lol! I took my stamps to a superbowl party for the wives that aren't football fans and we had a wonderful time, and I have new converts because of it. P.S. I'm not a demo!

I love this card! You did a great job and I'd love to receive it. I know, we're very critical of ourselves and it's hard when it doesn't turn out how we thought it would. I see where the ep didn't rub off real nicely, but I'm sure most people wouldn't see that part...just the overall beauty and thought put into the card. Keep up the good work!
