I was intrigued - and very excited!- when Claire put together the fun sketch blinkie. This means lots of fun inspiration coming in from everyone
For this one, I decided to go busy-lol. I prefer simple, but am trying to stretch myself more as well as use things I don't usually use. You know, stop hoardong all the fun stuff!
The layout is simple (luckily for me-lol) and pretty straight forward. I loved the round cut-out idea! Not something I've done a lot of, but will in the future. I made the little felt flower using a small Dahlia die, gathered ribbon and a glittery brad (from my AG stash). As much as I loved the leaves at the time, I almost wish I'd left them off. Oh, well. In place of the ribbon/paper strip, I coiled some ink stained florist wire for a different and fun approach. My butterflies were coloured with Copics. Oh, I used yellow ric rac ribbon for the scallop edging, folding the corners and glueing it down with fabric glue by Aleene.
So proud of myself - I didn't emboss anything on this card-lol!
Thanks for looking! I can't wait to see the next sketch idea
Forgot to add that this is a 4x4 card. Great use for small pieces of CS! I didn't take a pic of the inside, but it has another of those useful pockets for placing a gift card.
