Thanks to Dawn for an awesome technique challenge. Although...why we cut two pieces (front and back), only to then connect them on top again...I have no idea. I think it would be smarter to keep the card together, then cut a window in the front. That's what I will do from now on....I just wanted to follow the rules the first time I make this card.
I think this owl from MFT is so stinking cute. The leaves were cut with Sizzix Little Leaves die out of My Mind's Eye cardstock, sponged and a bit detail added with Copic Marker YG25.
The clouds were cut with MFT's Cloud Die-namic die, sponged with Tumbled Glass Distress ink and outlined with Stardust Stickles.
Thanks so much for looking! Have a wonderful Memorial Day! Hugs and smiles

I wondered the same thing about cutting the paper, but, like you, I followed the directions. Gonna leave it one piece next time. Now as for this adorable card! Wow, love your owl and clouds, Beate. Awesome work.

Beate, this is just so cute and adorable, I love it.
I tried first with just one piece of card, scoring it in the centre and and inch each side of that, and it worked well.It just wasn't big enough to accommodate the Tim Holtz birdcage, so it's sitting on my desk waiting for some other idea. I didn't see the point in using three pieces of card when one would do either . I guess scoring just at one end would work equally well!
