This card was made for the VSN MAY10VSNG challenge. To participate, you had to make your own flower. I decided to make a flower using tissue paper and the technique I learned as a child to fold tissues back and forth into a fan, fold it it half, and fluff it to make it look like a flower. Did anyone else do that as a child? I'm not sure I liked the result though because there is no way I could fit the card into an envelope!

Yes, I did do that as a child. As a matter of fact, I remember doing about 100 of them to decorate the cars in my sisters wedding!(lol) I think you did a great job! You could tuck it into a gift bag with a gift or just leave it on someone's desk to brighten their day! TFS

Yes, as I was making my tissue flower with layers of flower die cuts, I was thinking about those fan folded tissue flowers. I wouldn't want to put my card in an envelope and have it get crushed either, so I'm hand delivering it to a friend tomorrow. Yours is very pretty, and I like the button in the middle.

I, too made these fan flowers...none turned out as pretty as this, I don't think...nor did they have a beautiful button accent.
Your card is gorgeous...albeit too bulky for an envelop...I'm struggling with the same thought with making any of the big wonderful flowers...even for a scrapbook page they become too big for the books, I think!
