This is a card entry for the Stampin Up Artisan Award contest. I did not win so I am posting my projects to my gallery so at least someone can see them! =)
This card was made from Bermuda Bay cardstock. It is overlayed with a piece of thick window sheet that was embossed with the SU Finial Press embossing folder. I love how it turned out! Now to create the floating effect of the window sheet, it is stuck on by sticky strip only in the areas that are covered by the ribbon and rose and For the Newlywed sentiment.
The ribbon is black satin ribbon and the punches used are the large oval and scallop oval punches.
The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.
The glitter rose is from Fifth Avenue Floral. It is the large rose stamp in the set and I stamped it on medium weight window sheet with black craft ink and embossed it with clear EP. I then cut out the rose. I colored the rose in with Crystal Effects tinted with real red reinker on the backside of the rose, (or the side that I embossed). I then dumped red fine glitter over it and let it sit until it dried. Then I knocked off the loose glitter. I then turned it over you have this beautiful glitter rose!! I used sticky strip to adhere it to the card.
