I made this card using Monday's TLC274 challenge --Black Magic. I have seen this technique before and had intended to use it, but never did. I needed a thank-you this week and decided this would be a great opportunity to try something different. This was really fun to do and I really like the results. I colored the hummer first and then had the challenge of trying to match paper to the colors I used...big mistake! After hours of searching and trying to decide on paper I finally chose this dp from dcwv old world mat stack. I then dressed it up by sponging with SU regal rose and stamping flourishes on the corners in black. Used a Fiskars border punch for the pink strip down the middle and layered with some dcwv paper...then wrapped silver cord around. This was the first opportunity I had to use my new medallion SPB die (fun, fun, fun). Cut out and layered the bird image. Added flowers, leaves and more silver cord to the corner. Finished it off with a dab of silver liquid pearls in the center of each flower. I enjoyed this technique so much, I plan to try it again. TFL and have a great day!

What a stunning card! I can't believe this is your first black magic card - you have it DOWN, girl! Your colors all work together regardless of how you picked them.
