Being a military family, we move a lot, so I am always on the look out for good "we've moved" "We're moving!" "Here's our new address" cards. These cute little car, fitting saying and house images from Eat Cake Graphics fit the bill perfectly. I always thought black saddle-stitched ribbon reminded me of road markings, so I used it to create a road for the little car, which is popped up on dimensionals. On either side of the 'road' are strips of wild wasabi cardstock snipped at with a ruler to create some grass.
I wanted a little something different with the shape, so I took the card and only scored to the house, then used a craft knife to cut along the roof and tree so that when the card was folded over they would still out and give it a unique shape.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my card.

Cute, cute! I love the idea of the ribbon for your road marking and the little car with that sentiment is so funny. Nice idea for the grass, also.

Wow, I totally did not realize until your description that the house and tree are the same layer as your card base! That is a totally awesome look! I love the saddle stitched road (note to self: add black saddle stitch to cart!) and of course love the doggy & kitty in the car. Great coloring, too!
