So this week we have to create a shabby chic CAS card. A very interesting challenge because I would have said the styles were mutually exclusive. Still I had a browse through the entries and saw a few cards that I thought embodied both styles which inspired me to have a go. So how did I get on? Well I'm pretty sure my card is shabby chic and it was certainly simple but is it still clean? You tell me.

You are too funny!!! Your card is lovely. It is simple and shabby chic, but I don't necessarily see that as something clean. Your card is a beautiful example though. Nicely done.

Since you asked. I agree it doesn't look clean. Maybe its the white on white made shabby. In my opinion it would be a very elegant/chic card without the shabby - I know, not the challenge. TFS

This is a very pretty card. CAS, yes; Shabby chic, yes.
Is the flower pre-made or did you make it? If you made it, was it cut on the Cricut?
Great job IMO!

Squeaky clean. I know what you mean seems like an oxymoron doesn't it maybe in the last great depression it was chic to be shabby. I always think of the style as English kind of Waverly fabrics kind of thing. Anyway I just discovered your gallery and you do amazing work, anyone who reads this comment check out her gallery. Oh yeah and the reason I commented is obvious, I love this card!

I KWYM...shabby and CAS didn't translate in my vocabulary either but you've done a stunning job. Love the tone on tone white with the antiquing and touch of silver.
