Well, it took me a while to get my QFTD tribute to Lynn (aka allee's) posted - primarily because I made 11 of the same card. Still trying to catch up on my CCC10 cards - this batch covers April...
What a fantastic gallery Lynn has...and she is one of those incredibly supportive SCSers - in addition to sharing her wonderful creations, she has left almost 28,000 comments on fellow stampers' cards! Thanks for that Lynn!!! That support and encouragement is what makes the gallery such a fun place to hang out.
I sort of combined two cards in Lynn's gallery: CC184 and her wonderful NOV09VSNMINI2 which I've had in my faves since the day she posted it.
I decided to give it a vintage look since this month's Fan Club central theme is Very Vintage. The medallion is embossed with holographic embossing powder which sparkles and shines like nobody's business. The Santa was stamped on Watercolour paper and sponged lightly.
Punch tally: Used 3 different nesties on each card and punched snowflake borders for the inside of each card (3 punches per strip x 2 strips per card). That's 9 punches and/or die-cuts per card (times 11). And that would be why it took me from Friday until yesterday to finish them. That, and a surprise Mother's day visit from DD#1 who wanted to spend the afternoon making TY cards to take on an upcoming trip. What could be a better way to spend Mother's Day!?!
Thanks for stopping by. I'll be back to comment soon!!

OMG, this is just a real beauty! I can see why it took you a bit of time to get all these cards finished. Just look at all the pretty sponging, embossing, punching, and die cutting. This is a gorgeous vintage card. I'm sure the inside is just as pretty. What a lovely Mother's Day you must have had making cards with your daughter.

I've been so absent here lately, Heather; and, how can you expect warm weather if you keep making all these "cold" cards. However, I must say how much I admire your wonderful persistence in keeping up with the CCC challenge, and I love the wonderful vintage look of this. Yes, Lynn is a sweetheart and a wonderful encouragement and so deserving of this--I must find time to play along. We had snow here on Mother's Day and are waiting for our warm weather to return here too!!

Oh, Izzy, this is one FANTASTIC tribute card for the QUEEN!! I just love the vintage feel and monochromatic treatment you gave this. That Santa face looks super inside the SU medallion!! And your layered nesties, as well as that super border punch on the inside, are just fantastic. So glad you're getting caught up on your CCC10 cards--these will make such a super addition to your stash!!

Love that vintage Santa card! You did a great job combining Lynn's two cards, and lucky you - you are working on a stash for Christmas! I haven't even thought about it! Way to go, birthday buddy.
