I ran two slides through my Xyron so they each had a sticky side. One one slide, I brushed gold and green Pearl Ex and some Dazzling Diamonds glitter. On the second slide I stamped 3 small snowflakes in silver Encore ink. I sandwiched the two together. I hooked a piece of Hodgepodge Hardware to the center of a length of wire and twised the wire all around the slides. I threaded the ends through beads and twisted into a loop. Then I tied a wide organdy bow around the top.

Oops, sorry for forgetting that detail! Yes, I DID emboss silver snowflakes on the outside!

This is so pretty! I would love to know details- You said you ran both slides through the Xyron- did you do this after you stamped and embossed the snowflakes? And did you run the wire in between the 2 slides? It's hard to tell from the photo. I just received my slides yesterday, and would love to do something like this with them! It's gorgeous! TFS!

Step by Step:
1) Run two slides through Xyron machine.
2) Take slide #1 and lightly dust with Pearl Ex powder on the sticky side. I used a paint brush. I dusted it with green and gold from SU Asst.3.
3) Sprinkle Dazzling Diamonds glitter on slide #1, sticky side.
4) On slide #2, sticky side, I stamped 3 small snowflakes with Encore silver ink.
5) Sandwich two slides together.
6) Stamp outside of each side with versamark with snowflake stamps.
7) Sprinkle with embossing powder, dust off excess powder. (Note* Do one side at a time.)
Heat with heat gun until set.
9) Take a length of wire. Run it through a Hodgepodge Hardware piece and twist tightly in the middle of the length of wire.
10) From top of slide, wrap the ends of the wires separately around both sides of the slides.
11) when you get to the bottom, twist together tightly and thread BOTH ends through beads.
12) Make a loop at the bottom and wrap excess wire around base of bead.
13) Tie a length of wide organdy ribbon into a nice bow at the base of the Hodgepodge Hardware piece.
14) Voila!
