I'm not familiar w/ our FS today, but I enjoyed looking through Michelle's gallery. I have been accustomed to going to the last page of the FS gallery & looking at their first upload! Michelle's card, Candy Striped Wishes, got me w/ the frist glance as I loved the ribbon treatment. It was something I've never thought of doing. Here is Michelle's card: Candy-striped wishes by eliotstamps at Splitcoaststampers
I kept the same ribbon treatment & birthday theme, but all else is changed. I inked my image in Old Olive & tapped on Summer Sun marker. I spritzed my w/c paper & the inked stamp & stamped. I really wanted to do something different, so here it is. I think there's a name for this technique, but I don't know what it is.
Michelle, I hope you like my version of your card.
Thanks for stopping to take a peek and have a great Sunday everyone.
I see there are still the dreaded RED X's in the gallery. What's up w/ that???

Karen, this caught my eye immediately and surprise!!!! It was redbugdriver. Awesome. Neat technique (whatever it's called). That ribbon treatment is neat. I am always looking for new ways to put ribbon on my cards.

Wow that is a cool ribbon treatment! I love the water color technique you used on one of my favorite stamp sets (which I also used today). Beautifully done!

Thanks for your kind words about my gallery! I can't believe you went back to the beginning of my uploads - I was a pretty inexperienced stamper when I first found SCS all those years ago. (And I'm really glad I went through and deleted a few of my very first uploads awhile back, they were really bad!) Your card turned out lovely - Upsy Daisy is on of my favorite sets.
