I did this page for VSBN – Extreme Makeover. I used the sketch provided and added some stamped images—the butterflies around the journaling. I used Photoshop Elements 7 to color parts of the black and white photo on the left—my first time trying this technique. I cut the shape of the patterned paper using another piece of shaped paper for a template. I cut out one of the butterflies from the rest of the 12x12 sheet of yellow designer paper and added it top right.
I don't know's up with my photo editing program, but I can never seem to get the colors looking right on my uploads. The colors are deeper and prettier IRL. They look spot on in the photo, but when I
reduce it to web size, the colors wash out. I wish I could figure out what setting I need to change! Oh well, here it is anyway!
Journaling: "I was surprised when I dug out these two photos of myself that, fifty years later, I can still pick out some of my features that haven’t changed so much – the shape of my eyes, my nose, my mouth. My hair was almost white when I was young, & had a really fine texture. It’s still pretty fine, but the only white I have now is that which has, unfortunately, returned to white after many years of being medium blonde. (The edges of my bangs, to be exact, altho’ you can’t really tell in my adult photo here.) Of course I now wear glasses, and have my share of wrinkles and 'laugh lines,' but overall, I think the 'girls' in these two photos definitely have a lot in common!!"

You did a great job with the coloring on the B&W pic. I love your layout..really like the border edges...it's the little things like that that really make it great.
