The inspiration challenge this week took us to a beautiful online shop, Green Rainbow. I chose this adorable baby swaddling blanket as my inspiration.
I used the nearest dp I have to the original design. A first for me was to add sewing to my card - I had to hand-stitch it because sewing machines are a mystery to my poor brain cells and I haven't got one (a sewing machine that is, not a brain cell, although who can say?!)
I stamped and paper-pieced the pram and added pearls. I embossed the white card bg with the swiss dots folder then turned it over.
Thanks so much for dropping by!

You hand-stitched every one of those stitches!?! Oh my!! That would be almost like mending to me!! But what a pretty result! Love how you used the dp from the outside frame for your baby carriage. And you've used nesties (whew!) so you've covered your punching quotient...but, in my book, the sewing required punching all kinds of holes in your paper, didn't it!! Have a great day...

Oh Sally!!! You hand sewed that lovely card!!! I am amazed!! Although tis true that I am the brain trust of the group...... I cannot run a sewing machine, more't the pity!! But then to actually hand sew a card!! Amazing girl! And it's lovely!! Just gorgeous!! Such a lovely colour of peach. Lovely image and so beautifully done!

So very sweet! The placement of your pearls was just perfect and I really like your hand stitching. All you need is a sewing machine like I sent Pamzi and you would be in business...although, she just can't figure it out. LOL

Britzi, this is AMAZING my friend!!! My gosh, you hand stitched to perfection. How did you get the patience and steady hand to do that???? I LOVE sewing on cards, so this really grabbed me. Don't listen to Frenzi Benzi, she sent me a lil' tiny toy machine and expects me to be able to thread it and use it. I mean, really..... Your peach colors, paper choice and paper pieced pram are just absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! And, I'm with Da Dizzy, you get lots and lots of punch tallies for this one as it covers each hole you made for the stitching too!! You're on FIRE!! TFS!!
