I started by using a rollagraph stamp with Versamark watermark ink and green embossing powder to create the background leaf paper. Then I matted that with ribbons in the corner onto cream and then dark purple paper. The middle square was made by layering 4 small squares that I punched out and embossed using Nestabilities onto dark purple and cream cardstock. The bottom left square I used 2 separate stamps to say Happy Birthday and I cut a border stamp and used it for the flowers underlining the saying. I stamped these with Versamark watermark ink and then went over it with purple embossing powder. I stamped the 2 birds onto scrap light purple paper the same way as the saying. I used purple paper, because it peeks out in the swirls on the birds bodies. Then I cut out the birds and attached them to their squares with pop dots. I handmade the flower embellishment by freeform cutting 4 papers that matched the papers I'd already used in my card, scrunching them up, attaching them with a brad, spraying them with clear glimmer mist, and attaching a purple gem to the center of the card.
