The Flourishes April Challenge was to create a card with a 2" focal point. My goodness, I should have stuck with plan A which was to make a nice easy fancy card with the pansy stamp from the Calendar Year set. 6 stamped backgrounds later, here I am at last with this. You can see in the photo a couple of the edges need sticking down better, but I have had so many smudges that it can wait.
5 3/4" square base. The vine panel is 5", layered on blue card, corners punched with the SouthWest corner punch. The two inch panel was coloured and embossed with two layers of EP. It's matted onto yellow card and fixed to the base as in the Spotlight technique. I coloured a bird with markers, stamped it and cut it out to perch on the focal image. Added a bow, and that's it.

I love the spotlighting you used with your twinchie, Sabrina! Sorry you had such trouble with this card, but the result you've shown here is outstanding. I love what you've done!!!

What a card! Your highlight image is totally fabulous. I typically dont care for corner treatments/punches, but yours are just perfect. I think this is totally fabulous and superbly crafted.

This is great! I love that focal point and the texture you added. The bow is pretty cute too.
