This is one of my very first attempts at a vintage "distressed" style card. I'm not over the moon with it but it has given me a chance to experiment with my new Tim Holtz distress ink pad (fab bday prezzie of my dear Sis!)
The Stamps I used were a freebie I received years ago from a card magazine for subscribing and are by paper artsy.
My other Sis has promptly asked for this to give to her dear MIL who is truly an angel in disguise. I really hope she likes it. As ever, Thanks so much for stopping by! x
PS: I almost forgot....I asked my wonderful non-creative hubby what he thought of it by saying "does it look distressed or just grubby?!" His reply? Well he made my day by replying "No, it looks like something that has been collected from the bottom of the Titanic!" Only a man's opinion, I know but it made MY day! LOL!

Oh I love your hubby's comment, really made me chuckle! This is amazing! I love the image with the flowers and lace. I wouldn't have a clue how to go about distressing - it distresses me just to think about it!!
Alison, I don't think you really realise how extremely talented you really are. As you know vintage is my favourite style and I was truly blown away by this one. You also know that I am a big fan of anything Titanic. Nice comment Si! My angel in disguise will love it. You are my inspiration and I look foward to learning from you. Your darling Sis xxx
Totally love your hubby's comment! And your card is wonderful. I agree with your sister - I don't think you realize how talented and creative you really are! After the lovely comment you made on one of my cards and about my gallery, I just had to check out yours. And it totally blows me away. You can tackle any technique or any style, and have an awesomely gorgeous card to show for it. Keep up the fantastic work!
