The CAS inspiration challenge this week is postcards from Mackinac Island. I'm inspired by the Island's many ancient lilac trees. One of the loveliest times on the Island is when the lilac branches hang heavy with blooms and the air is fragrant with their perfume. It's a spectacular sight to behold. Over here on the mainland, I'm lucky to have a yard full of lilac trees, and can hardly wait until they blossom.

I've always loved lilacs. We had a yard full of them when I was young. Used to love to take bouquets to my teacher at school - wrapped in wet paper towels with foil to keep them moist. Ahhhh... sweet memories. We were fortunate enough to visit Mackinac Island last September. No lilacs but such a wonderful little haven. Love your card. Great layout. That punch is one of my faves...and so is your card!
