Stef what a wonderful idea to be inspired by home! Although my home is now in Seattle, I was born in California. When I think of California I think of the beautiful red poppies which used to abound there.
This was great fun, thanks Stef and thanks for the sketch this week, Rox, which I used today.
The white panels are bugged with a Sizzix folder, the poppy is colored with Prismacolors and Gamsol. Popped up the image panel on dimensionals and added ribbon, brads and paper piercing. The image is from the Internet, courtesy of Princessheather. Thanks, Heather!
Hope you like it and thanks for looking! I can't wait to see what everyone brought to the gallery today. I'll be back to comment!

Well me oh my, if you didn't do so well with that sketch which caused me such heartache and grief. I always think of the Escholtzia as the Californian poppy, but I love the red ones so much, I am glad those are there too. I never knew that was where you were from - big difference between there and Seattle, no?
I love that dainty poppy - must find the seeds I bought and misplaced.
