Hello, it is great to have you here again this week - the weeks are just flying by - can you believe Easter has been and gone - hope you didn't over indulge on all of those YUMBLY chocolates!? LOL! Four more days and my kids are on holidays for two weeks - now that is skeery! LOL! But in the meantime here is my card for this weeks Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge: http://priscillastyles.blogspot.com/
I have used an image from Michelle Perkett - isn't it gorgeous!! I loved this Mermaid as soon as I saw it and really enjoyed creating this card - something a little different for me, but with familiar facets!
I have coloured her with SU Chalks and a Blender Pen, I had decided I would now cut around the image as my hands were not up to the challenge of the fine cutting required with all that hair - so I left her on the one layer, but it just looked so flat, so I cut the rectangle smaller and cut out parts of her tail - this was looking much better....and it came to life when I added the black behind the image! I added Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and Kindy Glitz to parts of the tail!
Layering was the order of the day, using CS embossed with the Paisley Embossing Folder and also this gorgeous DP which is part of an amazing RAK from my friend Melinda (aka Melinda) thanks Melinda - I am loving these papers and haven't touched any others since you gave them to me! I added some textured braid and embellishments along with some pearls - very fitting for our mermaid I thought!!
