Happy Tuesday everyone... Here is my card for today's Teapot challenge "Criss Cross - he tossed his Boss", read Here for more information on the Teapot Tuesday challenge, and the colour challenge - Really Rust "Dusty Durango", Pretty in Pink, Creamy Caramel, Nuetrals of Choice and the desert option - is leaves - but only if you colour them.
I printed off the crossword puzzle from my Printmaster program on my computer. I traced a large teapot magnet to get my teapot image on the crossword paper. Cut it out and the Really rust matting. Wrote teapot twice on the crossword puzzle. Coloured in the leaf and stem on the teapot lid. Next I modpodged the teapot and the background crossword. I used some white acrylic paint on the b/g panel (gesso) and then modpodged overtop. Matted the b/g panel with black and really rust. I made the faux wood frame - I used the distressed ef cuttlebug folder. Rubbed creamy caramel and really rust over the frame strips. Attached the mini copper brads to frame corners. I stamped the flower in pretty in pink - and rock n rolled the tips with really rust. Attached flower with large black gingham brad. Can't forget that I sewed the crossword puzzle edges, plus the spout and handle.

Hey Pat, first let me tell you the tea cup and saucer are just the perfect photo elements ever. I would never have thought to use modpodge on the crossword puzzle. Great idea; it looks fabulous. Darling card with just the right touch of all things wonderful.

This is so creative and so much lovely detail to look at. I love the embossed frame with the brads, and the distressed look to the the crossword. Plus your great pot, of course.
