I was inspired by this lemonÂ…because I have a lemon image I have never used until today. ItÂ’s amazing what this challenge forces me to use and do.
-Prismacolor pencils, baby oil and paper stumps were used to color the image using the Gamsol technique found in the resources section here at SCS. Baby oil replaces the Gamsol.
-Dry embossing was done with the Cuttlebug and one of the thin embossing folders from the set With Love. And Scor-Pal was used for the double score lines on each side of the embossing.
-The Nestabilites frame dry embossing was done on the Cuttlebug. Note: for my shim I taped the cardstock pieces together and then to a B plate with double sided tape so I reach for one assembled item instead of multiple pieces. It was worth it to purchase the extra set of plates. The number of cardstock pieces you use will depend on the thickness of the cardstock; mine is four thin pieces.
I sandwich the A plate, B plate with the shim and the tan mat on the Cuttlebug. Next I place the cardstock to be embossed face up and position my Nestabilities die on the cardstock raised side down, carefully place the second B plate on top and run it through the machine.
This is much easier than trying to flip the cardstock and die over and expect it to stay in place. I tried it with the repositional tape but the tape caused an unwanted embossing.
-The gems are attached with Diamond Glaze (any lacquer product will work). To make the process fast and easy I squeeze a drop of lacquer onto a waxed paper (I repurpose the paper that stickers and labels are purchased on), touch the end of a large corsage pin to the lacquer then to the back of the gem which picks it up, position it on the image and press down with a finger, there is a little time to slide the gem into position if needed before it sticks tight.
Tools: Cuttlebug and With Love embossing folder, Spellbinder – Nestibilities, Scor-Pal, paper stumps, corsage pin, EK Success corner rounder punch, computer for sentiment

Roxie-this is a great card! I love how you rounded the 2 corners of the yellow cardstock like on the lemon. I love the dry embossed daisies with the yellow bling centers and that you also dry embossed your envelope to match. Then there is all the stamping inside your card...lots of work went into this one! AWESOME!

Oh, so sweet and I love how you've dry embossed your card. The rounded corners really give a defining look to this. Thanks so much for explaining how you used your nestibilities.
