They have some really fun prizes and AMAZING creations made by their designers based on the weekly sketches.
I was determined to use my SU Shades of Spring DSP and I really wanted to go with an orchid color for a change, but my first attempt failed miserably. So, this is my 2nd attempt.
Priscilla, I chickened out and used the more CAS version of this week's sketch. I really wanted to do the more intricate one, but I just couldn't get my mojo together this week.
My image is a little chick I found in the $ bin at Michael's. I paper pieced the shell to match the dsp and colored in the little guy with so saffron and barely banana markers and outlined it gently with dazzling diamonds. I used the Allegro ef on the image panel and on the first dsp panel.
I paper pierced around the upper and lower panels behind the image panel and used the faux stitching technique ~that's right Benzi "faux" stitching~, added a line of soft yellow pearls, added 2 sparkly fabric flowers with pearls and popped up the image panel and greeting on dimensionals.
Another Easter card down and I'm happy to use the orchid oppulence color as I was tiring of my yellows, greens and pink.
Thanks SO MUCH for taking the time to come visit and have a wonderful weekend!

You mean Easter hasnt come yet? With all the cards you've made and it still hasnt arrived? Yikes! Sweet image for $1 even I would have to say, you tightwad. Wow, looks like you got Benzi's fake sewing machine to finally work???? Not too shabby for a nonworking sewing machine. what a fruitcake you are! BTW, your card is so you and just darling.

Pam, my Punch Pal, I am so glad you got to do a card today. But, I must tell you, my heart leapt with fright when I opened this photo and thought I saw 'real' stitching. I must get my Janome going so you don't win. LOL How adorable is this little chick sitting in the nest. Your paper pieced cracked egg is so sweet matching your dsp. And, I do love the orchid. Yummy! The Allegro ef was perfect to give this singing chick some music. Don't want chickie to get off key. Love your Easter creation.

How "Tweet"! Love all that Orchid on your card. I find shades of purple difficult, but this is lovely. Great dollar image, don't you just love when you get something that cute for a dollar? Wonderful Fauz stitching (I wouldn't tell) and the
paper peicing is so nice. Glad you could share a card with the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge this week.

pam for someone who often speaks of being unable to get her mojo together you've got the togetherest mojo i've ever seen. this is pretty and sweet and the two pearl centres in flowers are adorable. i've broken my stupid wrist falling down on my morning walk so typing with one finger. it is major pain in butt so no comments (or card making) for a while.
