This is a card I made for a neighbor who came to America from Ireland many years ago. She loves the cards I make her, so I would *never* miss sending her one for St. Pattrick's Day. This sweet lady will be 90 in June. Though she's not doing any Irish Jigs these days, her brogue is still thick and her Irish eyes are always smiling!
This card is also for last week's CAS57 challenge to use two different kinds of shape-abilities. I used my new Nestibilities large scalloped ovals and the Spellbinders double ended tags. I colored the image with COPICs, though the grass and highlights are done with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. The sentiment is hand printed. The shamrocks are 3 layers thick with Stickles applied to the top and popped up on dimensionals. I took off 1 inch from the right side of the card and on the right side of the inside edge I applied a strip that I stamped an image of an Irish knot with Versamark on green cardstock and put a little edging of a border punched on gold cardstock - you can just maybe make out a hint of it.
Thank you for looking and I hope you enjoy a Happy St. Patrick's Day...if you're so inclined as to celebrate.
