Last Friday evening my husband and son had a Cub Scout meeting to go to so that left just my 11YO daughter and me at home for "girl time." When I asked Joanna what she wanted to do while the boys were out (game? movie?), she asked, "Could we make some cards together????" So we cranked some tunes and spent our girl time getting our fingers inky!!
This is the set that she made (with just some very minor coaching from me). She decided to make a set of note cards to give to her teacher "just because"--Mrs. Borek goes through lots of thank you notes at school! Joanna wanted to try out some of my new punches and went very CAS for these. She is so proud of her work, and I'm proud of her, too!! And we really had a lot of fun working together.
Thanks for looking!
Emily (and Joanna)

What a terrific way to spend time together. You both should be proud, I can see that Joanna is well on her way to developing a major talent and an even bigger heart. Kudos on the cards, her teacher will appreciate both the cards and her thoughtfulness.

Joanna - you did an AWESOME job! These cards are fresh, fun, bright and very cheery! What a nice thing to do for your teacher. I am sure she will love them. You are following in your Mommy's talented footsteps.
