I made this card for my BIL's birthday and also for the CAS56 Challenge of 'Hip to be Square' - see this link for the deets: Forums at Splitcoaststampers
The dog was coloured with Gamsol and Prismacolor pencils. I stamped the image again and cut out just the present and popped it up on dimensionals (mounts) and added fine blue glitter to it to add a little pizazz to the card. I chalked the sky and ground with my Kaisercolour Chalks. I used a Square Nestie to draw a square around the dog on the back side of the card so I would get a perfectly aligned square (I used a light box to do it) then used my Scor-Pal to score the lines around the image.
I diecut a square from the blue cs then ran it thru my CB with the Happy Birthday ef, then attached the image underneath the blue cs (so it is like a recessed window), then attached the completed card front to a square white card so that the recess didn't show on the inside of the card.
The red heart next to the sentiment is a leftover punchie from my EK Success Arrows border punch 'cos they look like tiny hearts to me :-)
The paw pad is a button from 'Buttons Galore & more' - Pets Little Paws 4120. I removed the shank then glued it on with Pritt glue.
Super quick & easy card - it actually took me longer to work out whether I should have a ribbon on the card or not, but in the end decided it would make the card too busy.
Thanks for having a peek at my card and PM me if you have any questions.
