For this VSN Olympic challenge, Carole -fibrejunky- wanted us to be inspired by the Hudson Bay Sweater you can find *here
The colors are Burgundy, dark grey and light grey with a natural thrown in.
My base is Burgundy. From there, I sponged some going grey, black and burgundy on a whisper white paper to simulate Zindorf's fabulous brayering technique. I then ran it through the argyle CB folder. I matted this on grey c/s then distressed the edge -think knit.
The image is from the Noble Deer set stamped on white. I distressed the edges then sponged burgundy around the edges before matting on grey & distressing again. The diamonds on the sweater I turned into squares, but put them on a diagonal. They have the branch from same set stamped & then distressed the edges.
The Image panel and the background panel were popped up on dimensionals.
To finish it off, I took some burgundy twine and wrapped it around a large copper brad.
Thanks for looking!

What a gorgeous card Collette!! I love the gray and burgundy sponging. I was just telling someone that I don't much like gray, but in this card it looks great. Pretty card!!
