I just had to play the new challenge F4A1 Free 4 All #1 Challenge -Texture, Colors, and Patterns, replacing the Limited Supplies Challenge.
Here's a card I made for a birthday but it could be used for almost any occasion. I chose to put the sentiment inside. The Texture is the 3-D butterfly, ribbon, embossed Big Scalloped Ovals, lg. & sm. by Spellbinders and some faux brads. The color is supposed to be one we rarely, if ever, use. For me, that would be orange - this was indeed a challenge for me. Generally, the closest I come to orange colors are the ones I eat For patterns, we could use what we like. I chose a two-sided designer print by Fancy Pants so that I would be able to coordinate the patterns. I colored the image with COPICS and the little bee with a Spica glitter pen. I punched the butterfly out twice and glued them back-to-back and then I just glued the butterfly body to the card and bent the wings to look like it was in flight.
Did you notice that I colored my ladybug yellow? Usually I color them red but since I didn't want to introduce another color I made them yellow...we do occasionally have yellow ladybugs in our yard, too.
Thank you for looking. I hope you'll stretch your wings and give the new challenge a try.
