Featured Stamper FS159 Judi aka JovialJudi made this beautiful card as a tribute to her mother whom she lost two years ago. I drew upon this to finally complete a scrapbook page about my own mum who I lost in 2005. I too miss my mother every day, and I've had many of these pieces together for quite a while now, but could never quite finish it - so thank you Judi for helping me to complete this pagel
I created a stencil for my main title and sponged with red ink. Black smaller title was cut with Cricut. SU Manhattan rose was stamped and embossed several times on the page. I then added a poem that I wrote and printed on vellum. It is framed with b+w polkadot organza ribbon. Two large red flowers are layered and a purchased b+w flower placed in the middle. A cherish book tag is fastened with silver brads and has a metal heart hanging from it.
Thanks for taking a peek!
Edited to add: A couple of people have asked the author of the poem - and since I wrote it, the author would be me!

Oh Laurie. Nothing could have pleased me more than this heartwarming scrapbook page you felt you could complete. I love everything about it from the beautiful photograph, the wonderful embellishments, but the words hit a home run for me. I am sitting here in tears....but joyful ones. I feel so much the same about my mom and I just know in my heart of hearts they both know we paid tribute to them. Hugs and love, Judi

Oh that's just lovely Laurie! What a tribute to your mom! I'm so sorry that you lost your mom in 2005. You are much to young to have lost your mum. I lost my dad in 2007 - and I know how we do miss our parents each day . Such a lovely page!

Laurie, it is hard for me to tell you how very moving this is. Your words are perfect. I also lost my mom two years ago, and each day, I still smile to think of her. I think this is the best case of the week, because you have joined hearts from all over. This is just beautiful. Your mom would smile....

What a wonderful page that you've created. It's absolutely terrific that you found the inspiration to be able to finish off this beautiful tribute, making this a double tribute. I've put this into my faves so that I can have a copy of the lovely words that you have used.

Laurie, you have done it again! I have tears in my eyes - this is so beautiful and I can only echo Pat Smethers' comments above. You have certainly struck a very emotional chord with all of us who have cherished memories of a mother loved and lost.

Laurie, what a wonderful tribute to your mom and the relationship you had w/each other. I love the sentiment and your photo is such testimony to a love only a mom can have for her daughter. Your page is just wonderful.
