Had my Cadette Girl Scouts over yesterday to work on rag purses as part of the "Textile Arts" Interest Project. The four girls each made one, as well as, my co-leader. We had SEVERAL technical difficulties throughout the day, but we persevered and they finished them.
The main problem we had was that I couldn't get my SU Scallop Square Die to actually cut the fabric!!! I had used it previous to this day with no problems. But OF COURSE on a day when I really needed it to work, it wouldn't. So we had to go with "Plan B" and we cut the squares with the rotary cutter. The girls didn't seem to mind, but the end result wasn't quite the same without the scallop edges.
