Today's Stampinb challenge #46 is given by Vicky Gould. It is to make a card using a split negative technique. It really isn't hard but I made it that way by trying to get my embossing perfect. Ugh! This was also by first attempt using this sn technique.
I embossed my butterfly on perfect plum cardstock with Versa Mark and clear embossing powder. I then used SU Perfect Plum ink and clear embossing powder on white cardstock.
Each butterfly was cut in half and put back together with butterfly of each color. I then layered on perfect plum dp. Made another larger panel with perfect plum dp, added ribbon, stamped the corners and embossed with white emb. powder, punched the flowers on bottom and added a brad in each.
Nice challenge, Vicky, .....I think. LOL

Benzi, this s so pretty! I love the split negative although I've never tried it either. I've never even really looked at the tutorial because I know it's way over my head. You've worked it perfectly and for your 1st attempt, too. The colors and ribbons and that bling are perfectly put together.

I've been wanting to try this technique Benz. In fact, one of the FS had several in her gallery which I was going to case, but never got to. You did an awesome job on this and I LOVE perfect plum and white color combo. Those sparkly metal brads make a wonderful addition to your card. LOVE it my friend!! TFS!
