Hi! This card was made for todayÂ’s StampinÂ’ BÂ’s Challenge: Split Negative and for today's Ways to Use It Challenge: Orange Love
As usual, when I get a challenge, I want to step it up a bit! I decided to have multi-level split.
I started with 2 pieces of card stock, one Classic Flax, the other Deepest Mahogany. I cut them to 3” x 3 ¾”. Next, I used my CLEAR stamp set, Our Family Tree, to stamp the image in Adirondack Espresso onto the Classic Flax panel. I stamped the image in VersaMark onto the Deepest Mahogany panel and embossed it in Vanilla. (This was REALLY easy, as I lined it up in the same spot on both panels.)
I wanted to have color show through the strips, so I masked in a sun and used sponges to color the grass and sky. (Palette ink: Seascape and Landscape. Sun was colored with Sun Flower and Orangerie.)
I cut the strips out of the Deepest Mahogany panel and used double-sided tape to adhere the strips to the Classic Flax Panel.
The frame was made using a Nesties label that I cut length-wise and taped to the back of the panels. The top and bottom are a cut down Frameabilities die.
