I was running behind, but I really wanted to do the sketch. You'd think I would remember one of my own cards, but when Roxie posted the sketch, I had to go look to see which one it was, lol. This also fits today's
Ways to Use It challege: orange. How lucky is that?
This is also a combination w/ DDIC challenge I do twice a month w/ a wonderful group of SCS'rs. Our inspiration picture is a beautiful hotel in Mexico. I was really struck by the vibrant colors so that's what I used for my card.
I started by masking off the ground area and sponging in the yellow and yellow/orange inks above it. I did the same on the two smaller panels. I reversed the mask and sponged on a little green then cobalt blue at the very bottom. The silhouette horse was inked first w/ cobalt then the edges and bottom were inked w/ indigo and he was stamped at the ground level. I used a blender pen to quickly remove a little ink (before it completely dried) to add highlights to the horse. Then I inked the image again, stamped on it my SAMJ and used this image to stamp the reflection below the horse.
The sentiment was split on the two smaller panels. All three panels are attached to a sage green layer w/ lightly sponged edges. A background stamp was used on the cobalt layer and a little ink was sponged around the edges. I used a Cuttlebug die to cut the square for the corner then cut it half diagonally and attached to opposite corners. The final layer is a 5.5 x 4.25 mustard layer.
Thanks so much for looking! My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.

I love the colors and thanks for giving so much detail as to how it was done! I learned about using the blender pen to remove some ink...thanks for that tip!
