I don't normally make St. Patrick's Day cards, but I wanted to try out this beautiful new Irish Blessings set from Flourishes (another of the four sets I won last week in the FTTC Anniversary Challenge!) and I've been wanting to play in the Doubledog Dare Challenge for a while now--I saw that this week's Doubledog Dare Challenge is to make a card for St. Patrick's Day. That clinched it!! This will go to my aunt who always likes to pretend she's Irish on March 17!
I used today's sketch challenge for my layout (SC26. A very nice one!! (As always, I made a very literal interpretation of the sketch. I'm always amazed when I visit the sketch challenge gallery later at how so many are able to put their own creative twists on the sketch. I never seem to be able to think outside the box. Sigh. Perhaps someday. In the meantime, I guess I must embrace my literalness.)
I made my own DP using the small claddagh image from Flourishes set. My main images were colored with colored pencils. Inside, the message reads "May the luck 'o the Irish be yours." A pretty straightforward card.
Thanks for looking!
Emily
