The hostess for this week's Doubledog Dare Challenge is joanne (sleepyinseattle) who Dared us to make a St. Patrick's Day card. Easy Peasy. Please join us, and put DDC in your keyword. We do the DDC each Tuesday...check us out every week.
This card is also for the MMTPT81. We are off to New Orleans for our teaparty. I, for one, will be eating LOTS of cake, but I'll have to take off my mask to do it. Martie McGraw, our hostess, is Irish, which puts her in the minority in the Big Easy. She needs all the Irish friends she can get! I have my green mask, and some green gems to make her feel more comfortable, but made a concession to the French Quarter by adding the Fleur-de-lis punched strip. Just for Martie, I'll be bringing Irish soda bread to go with our tea, and something Irish that's a bit stronger to add to it, just for her!!!
Please join us at the teaparty by putting MMTPT81 in your keyword.
If you would like to see the rest of the sentiment inside my card, you'll have to go to my blog. It's worth the trip, if I do say so myself!

Hey there! Glad you could make it! I am a little worried about you....you seem to be deviating from red. You are on a green kick these days, you have made green frogs and green lipstick this past weekend! Don't you like red anymore?????
Okay, I will give you a break and just compliment you on your comical little card! Its awesome and I think Martie will befriend you till the end of time! I didn't know she was Irish!

Man, Anne, you're making me feel hungry with all that talk of soda bread. You can keep the whiskey, though - it's not my drink. (When we were down with my brother and his family at the weekend, his wife works as a guide in the old distillery in Midleton (http://www.cork-guide.ie/attractions/jhc.htm), and although it's not her drink either she says she's got used to it.
You sure it's you behind that Marx, sorry, mask. 'Cos I don't see a speck of red, so I am not so sure.

You are a riot! I would love to know you IRL. You just reminded me to get busy with my St Patrick's Day cards. My MIL is 100% Irish so she and our 7 grown kids all get handmade cards on the 17th! I get Irish Cream in my coffee...... regularily!
