When I ususally think of iris, I think the purple variety like on Cindy's teapot, but today I learned something new. The name iris is from the ancient greek word for rainbow. Mr. Bodacious thought that all iris were purple too. He doesn't like the color purple. Since Iris are Belassiz's favorite flower, I decided to help him find a variety that he could live with. The Chariots of Fire is a really pretty variety.
He then wondered what colors he could use to go with the Chariots of Fire iris. He didn't want to use red. Something about red just irritates him. So he was kinda in a quandry about what colors to use to decorate his half of the villa.
He decided that the ladies at SCS have wonderful color challenges every week so that is where he started. The CC257 sounded like colors he could really get into. He is a smart enough fella to know that CHOCOLATE is the way to any gal's heart. Dusty Durango and Sage shadows made him think of his early childhood out on the range.
This is also for the Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge 25 to do TWOS on our card.
I had this dp sitting on my desk. It made me think of iris. I added some quilled iris to add dimension. I added two porcelain paper butterflies. I did groups of 2's with the brads. I thought about using 2 ribbons, but that wasn't looking so pretty. So here is the story about the ribbon... it has 2 loops and 2 tails to make 1 bow.

Your quillled iris are a great match to the paper. I always love seeing the different colours and varieties when we go to the Botanic Gardens when they are in flower. Mine are just purple and plain white ones.
