I was excited to see there is a new weekly challenge on the Our Daily Bread Designs blog and this is the first challenge: to use hearts somewhere on our card. I knew right away I wanted to use an old stencil trick I learned many years ago and that's to hand tear a heart shape in a scrap piece of copy paper, then sponge the outline as the background. I thought a couple of hearts would be a perfect backdrop for an all-time fave verse from John 3:16. I stamped the sentiment in black on vellum then adhered it to the white BG w/hearts panel using brads. The corner flourish is a Spellbinder's die from the Doodle Parts Nestabilities set. The leaves and the lace heart border are Martha Stewart punches and the flower is a stamp from Verve.
