It has been great to be able to get back to creating again. While I was nursing my elbow pains I missed making cards for several birthdays and events. One of the most recent birthdays I missed was that of fellow Canadian and SCSer whiterockmama.
If you wander through her wonderful gallery you'll find that she loves Mojo Monday sketches, Verve stamps, punched borders, butterflies, nesties, Swiss Dots, Costco designer paper packs and diving for ribbon in Michael's bins. I've tried to use as many of these things on her card as possible - the Swiss Dots just wouldn't work with that textured background though... Stamped one flower on white, coloured it with a SU marker and punched it out in a circle. Stamped a second flower onto the dp, cut it out and popped it on top of the first.
Those wee pearls were sent to me by whiterockmama herself - thanks Marisa!
Hope you had a great day...
I've just retaken a new photo - hope this uploads OK...
I'll get this in the mail later this week!

This is really something! I've been posting a scripture every day to the Twisted Sistahs' thread, and THAT's the one I posted this morning!! I haven't received my usual email from the Mojo blog, so I missed this one. I'll have to go look cuz your card is awesome!!!

How very striking!!! I love your color combo here--and how you used your DP as part of the punched flower. This is a super sketch--you really rocked it. Super job

Not sure if I was supposed to see this or not, but I'll love it all the more when I see it in person because this is simply GORGEOUSLY FABULOUS, Heather!!!
You have described my loves to a tee LOL and have used all you mentioned to perfection. I just love the butterflies on the side panel and the one on the verse panel is a fabulous balancing touch! Your flower is to die for, the border punch fits the pointy flower petals perfectly and the verse is one of my favorites. I am truly honoured by your creation for me (((HUGS))). You make sure you keep that elbow nice and healthy so you can keep creating beauties like this one!!

I love what you have done here. The black framing highlights the scripture so well, and those black butterflies are incredibly beautiful! (I would have never thought of that, and it is gorgeous!) Thanks for sharing this beautiful art.

Ms Heather, what a beautiful card this. Of course what makes it especially wonderful is that you used the wee pearls from Marissa. She will love this card done in her signature style, and she does have a grand style we all know that. I love the sentiment, of course, but it's that glittered flower that had me at hello. Such an extraordinarily wonderful card done by an extraordinarily gifted stamper.
