The challenge is to make a card using the chalkboard technique. This was my first attempt at this technique, and I was disappointed how the chalk looked blurry on the black, as shown here. I tried another strip of hearts using colored pencils, and I like how that turned out better.

I think the chalked hearts give a nice subtle look. Good job on the technique.

I learned this technique for the first time in a previous VSN, it just takes a little practice and experimentation and I bet you'll love your results!
In Beate's tutorial, I think she uses a tissue to remove chalk around the stamped image. I have had better success using a regular eraser and a small dry paintbrush carefully around the outside edge of the chalked image.
