Hi! This card was made for today's Stampin' B's Challenge of using a butterfly, flower and die cut on a card, and today's Ways to Use It Challenge of using textiles on a card.
Okay...I'm a packrat. Married to a packrat. Heck, I've even had packrat babies! We keep EVERYTHING! If I spent a penny on it, I still have it. Seriously. I have a basket called, "The socks went in the laundry as a pair and came out as one, BASKET!" That's where I found my ribbed background for this card. That's right, it's a ladies ribbed piece of "hosery." That means, it's a sock that will get a run in it if you look at it funny! LOL
I cut the sock and adhered it to a piece of cardstock and used it as the background. The focal images were stamped on Snow Storm Smooth and colored with my Copic Airbrush. Next, I cut them out and adhered them with pop dots.
Finished card size: 5 1/2" square
Total time: about 45 minutes. I made the focal images last night.

Clever use of the one sock situation..... I know where the extra socks go... they get eaten by the lint monster in the dryer!!!! A child told me that... anyway.. I love your lily.. very pretty.. and the sock background is very striking too...

Gorgeous card as always. The purple and the orange of your lily along with the butterfly are so striking. The soft yellow "hose" sets them off beautifully.
