This is my first scratch n sniff card. I used 1 tablespoon clear embossing powder and 1 small package of sugar free jello. I stamped the card stock and then took my embossing pen and colored in one of the lemon wheels, i put the jello embossing powder mix on the wheel and heated it with the heat gun. It smells so good. Just like fresh lemons.

very cool - as a new member I have a question. Why would you only rate this a 1 for level of difficulty? If I have to get beyond a stamp pad and a paper trimmer I think that deserves at least a 2, but a scratch and sniff doesn't merit a 3 or 4?

I am kinda a new stamper too. I have been stamping for just under a year. I thought it was pretty easy. Just because I know how to emboss. But I guess if you don't know how to emboss it could be harder. I look at all the techniques and try them all one at a time. Most of the time they are quite easy but time consuming. So, I should rate them a 2 but time consuming. I thought some things were hard. I had a hard time understanding some of the directions. But for the most part things are pretty easy for me. I am kinda a crafty person and I like to try new things. If I think the directions are pretty basic, then I rate it a 1. I bet you could do it the first time. That is another thing I judge. If I have a hard time with it the first time, I rate it 2 or more. Maybe I should re think the rating. Ha ha ha. My first gel card took me 4 hours. I thought I would never do them again. Now I can do them in 15-20 minutes. So, I don't know.

Very creative ~ thanks for sharing! Does it have to be sugar free? Will regular jello work? Has anyone tried drink mix powder?

Yes, it has to be sugar free. Sugar kool-aid or jello will burn when it is heated. Also you can use pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, very fine coffee grounds. Pretty much any spice that you like the smell. But the kool-aid and jello must me sugar free. I also hear that the sugar free kool-aid is a stronger smell than the sugar free jello.

looks great, I bet it smells great too! Did you include on the inside that it is a scratch and sniff so the receiver will know that or do you think that is not needed? jellymn
