I love today's STAMPIN'B challenge for a couple of reasons. I love nautical and so does my youngest son. Actually, he loves deep sea fishing and this is certainly no deep sea fishing boat but he'll love it just because it has an ocean/sea feel. The next reason is because his birthday is at the end of this month so the challenge to do nautical fit perfectly. Thanks Joanne/jojot. I may have one or two shells too many...if so, look away. LOL I stamped image and shells twice, embossed shells, cut out all and popped with pop dots. Stamped, embossed, and punched Happy Birthday sentiment. Added a ribbon to the two top panels (hard to work with ribbon).
Added one popped up shell inside.
You really need to visit the Stampin'B challenge each week as I try to do (missed a few). They have some wonderful challenges and you may get a card made that you really need, as I did.

Woo Hoo Ms. Benz, this is a really, really fantastic masculine card for your son. I LOVE everything about it. The image, the shells are just right, so not to worry, the b-day sentiment, the ribbon, eyelets, and those clouds look great. There's a stamp for the clouds? That's pretty cool. I've never seen a cloud stamp before. Love the scallop borders around your image and that you placed a seashell on the inside of the card. These are so hard to do, but you did it so well Benz. I may have to try the StampinB challenges some day. I've never done one of those. Great job!! TFS!

Ah Benzi! I'm just going to sit here quietly for a moment and enjoy the Parisian Breeze.... Probably my fave designer paper ever! And how perfect to have a little breeze for your awesome sailboat! Fabulous card - love all the wonderful details: the shells, the ribbon, the eyelets, those awesome clouds. You certainly captured the nautical theme on this one! Might have to pop over to Stampin'B and check it out. It's been a while since I did one of their challenges. Have a good one Benzalina!

Brenda, how fabulous is this card for your son. No, it might not be the typical deep sea fishing kinda card, but it's definitely nautical and definitely a ship. The perfect card. he'll love it.
