I made this card for this week's Flourishes challenge which was a lovely sketch.
I am not sure that the Year in Flowers isn't going to displace this one as my favourite set - but I still love this one lots. It was going to be a fancier card with some leaf trim up the blue panels like vines, and little flowers, but CAS is how it is.
5 3/4" square base. Panels are white card, embossed and sponged with distress inks. Corner punched the green panel and added tiny blue gems. The image was stamped with Versafine Black on watercolour paper and sponged with distress inks, except for the leaves, for which I used an aqua-painter. Then I stamped the bird on three times for full coverage. Loved this sketch - sorry I squeezed the blue panels a fraction too much to the centre. They'd stuck down too much to move when I checked the sketch again.

Oh, my! Gorgeous card. I love how it's not over done. It's absolutely perfect. This is a favorite set of mine, too, because of it' simplicity and ease of use. It can have so many different looks. I just LOVE what you did with it here!
