My dear SCS friend Kelly (MiamiKel) and fellow Sisterhood Of The Traveling Card swap had challenged her SOTC Sistahs to join her in creating one or two scrapbook pages each month that using are faith and Bible verses as a theme for that month's page. January 2010 is the kickoff month for this new challenge and Kelly's theme is based on the Bible verse Genesis 9:16 "Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth."
Keeping in mind God's faithfullness to his beautiful creation Earth the challenge is to use brown, green and blue on our pages.
I was born and lived most of my live in the beautiful Puget Sound region of Washington state until my DH and I retired and moved to the rugged desert beauty of SE Arizona. I pulled two pictures to represent these locations as the examples of this theme. My Arizona picture features a gorgeous rainbow taken near my home. How fitting to go with this months Bible verse! The Bible verse and the journaling were created on MS Word and either punched out or cut with Nestabilities scalloped oval dies.
By the way, this is my first scrapbook page. What do you think?
