I said come on over baby,
a-whole lotta shakin' goin' on
Yeah I said come on over baby,
a-whole lotta shakin' goin' on
Well we ain't fakin',
a-whole lotta shakin' goin' on
Mmm, I said come on over baby,
we got chicken in the barn
Whose barn, what barn, my barn
Come on over baby,
we got the bull by the horns
Yeah, we ain't fakin',
a-whole lotta shakin' goin' on
One hot summer day, Jerry Lee was strolling down a dusty dirt road. As he walked along, he was a-hungerin' for some good thing to fill his belly. A firetruck passed him by. No viddles. Next, a giraffe ran by, Jerry could hardly believe his eyes! It ran by so fast, it nearly knocked him over! Still. No viddles.
Jerry Lee kept going and came along this sweet lil apple farm in Rockingham County. Hmmmm... surely this place would have something good to eat! There were apple trees everywhere, and sadly no way to pick them! Not a ladder in sight, don't ya know!
Jerry Lee turned the corner, and the next thing he saw was the best yet! An eyeful of Miss Annie Mae Appleseed in the schicken yard. Her cheeks were as rosy as apples, and her frame, well... we will just let that go! Jerry's leg started jumpin', his hips were a swingin' and all he could do was dance! He and Annie Mae was a shakin' all thru that orchard, and by the time the music ended, well, there was even apple sauce on the ground. Yes, there was! There was a whole lotta shakin' goin' on! Just like that. C'mon, how else would ya pick apples in ROCKingham?
Now there's a barn dance every Saturday night in this barn, and I believe this is where the Apple Dumpling Gang began.....
Thanks for looking!

A barn dance - I'm coming! Sheesh, no wonder all those cute little apples fell down - they weren't sewn on properly, just like all those shirts of DH's. Only joking, Pat - hand-sewn buttons would stay on even through all the jigs and reels, I am sure. I do love your gingham tree with it's teeny tiny button apples, and that fabulous bow.

Yikes! The *gang* involvement at Teapot Tuesday is gettin' sorta skeery! Pat, its the Apple Crumplin' gang not Apple Dumplin gang (you always get mixed up!) as evidenced by the crumpled apples at the feet of the gang! Who'd a thunk Annie Mae Appleseed would get involved with the likes of Jerry Lee and the Apple Crumplers! Poor Annie Mae, as good as Jerry Lee looks in his striped shirt playing warm up to Johnny Cash in prison, she misses him terribly. The shame of it and all for a bunch of apples! Since when do they not cut prisoner's hair in prison, Jerry Lee has some shakin' going on in that *do*...maybe there are still worms rolling around in it!
If you all don't watch that video IN ITS ENTIRETY, you are missing out on one heck of a good giggle! Snort! OMG! Was he a star? Did he have a girlfriend? Yikes!
Pat, only you! What an absolutely fun, fun, fun story and the card? Well, its the coolest! Love the buttons on the tree and the barn is precious with the gingham! And you can send it to someone without them thinking, what a goofy card! Snort!

Darn, I was so proud of you for getting away from the SG and here you are again. I like your barn and your tree is awful cute. I like the red gingham ribbon the most though.
