I made this card for the Feel the Love Flourishes challenge.
Roses aren't my favourite flowers to receive, unless they're from a garden, but what could be more romantic than some deep red roses.
My base is the largest Labels 1 cut from black card. The layer over that is a piece of mosaic that was lying on my desk - Polished Stone stamped with En Francais, and black EP between the torn tiles. I stamped the rose three times (after months of searching, I have finally got some light watercolour paper which is easy to cut for layering), twice on 95lb watercolour paper and once on heavier for the base. Masked the base layer and sponged with Antique Linen, then cut with Blossom 1, sponged edges with Vintage Photo. Coloured all three images with Cotman watercolours, and cut out a leaf, the two roses and a single rose for layering. Curled the edges of the roses slightly, added a touch of Stickles and layered with foam tape. Added black dots with Sakura Stardust, and larger ones with black Stickles. Layered onto a green Bazzill Bling blossom trimmed down, edged with black Stardust pen and a Stickles dot added in the centre of each. Black pearls in each corner, and that's it.
