I might send this to a friend in Cornwall who has just broken his ankle, with a note saying that an apple a day might keep the doctor away, but can't help anyone from slipping on the ice.
Read about the Bad Apple tea party, and then you will follow my story.
My goodness, we needed Annie and her patented apple-picking technique when I was growing up. We had an apple-picker my dad made so we could pick our apples and store them, but at one apple at a time and 8 or 9 trees - well, quick it wasn't.
My bad apple is Caspar the Caterpillar - he and his mates have been burrowing into those delicious Worcester Pearmains and are not happy at the thought of Annie picking them off their tree. Caspar has mobilised them, so any time Annie comes near their patch of the tree - which of course is where the best apples are, they give her a nip - and with a dozen caterpillars nipping at her fingers, no wonder she falls off.
Since it was Kelly's teapot that inspired Cindy's gorgeous card today, I've made an attempt at a Kelly-style card, too
A2 cream base, stamped with Canvas in Walnut Stain, and edged with red. An iris-folded apple with a punched caterpillar, a PTI button and the closest I could come to ribbon with a rustic feel to it complete the picture.
We have water again today, so I've got to go and wash the floors, but hope to be back with another card, with any luck.
Worcester Pearmain is the apple tree I would grow if we had space - and for the tea-party I am going to bring along a lovely hot Tarte Tatin. Our snow may be almost all gone, but with high winds there's still a need for comfort food.

Ah ha! I suspected it might be gang involvement! Never in a million years did I suspect that the Caterpillar Culprits had a New Hampshire connection!! Who's a thunk Annie's Fannie was getting thrown by a bunch of wormy, gooey, sorta fellows!
Hey Sabrina, do you think they could teach us how to throw all those gang signs all at once, like the do? Whut? You think we need all those arms to do it? Darn, I thought that was a making money opportunity for sure!
I love the paper folding thingy you did! And Casper is so precious looking but he doesn't fool me! He's the leader right? Great card! And you can use it.......Whoo Hoo!

Let me start by saying how cool this card looks, the background is very becoming of Kelly's style. I can still see the Sabrina touch in that beautiful fold in the apple. Amazing!
Bertie and I, want to invite you to share a little martini with us. Well, I'll be coming back, having a late lunch with Bobby. LOL I'm sure your father's invention could work for me, I am the slowest apple picker alive. As for your little Caspar, he looks so sweet, how could he be the bad apple...lol.
Lovely work my friend. So glad you got your card...gee, I was so late this year! hugs and snugsxo

Caspar and his friends must indeed be biting Annie!! I sent a NICE worm to get rid of those nasty guys so we can have lots of apples for the party....for cider, pies, muffins, etc. I love the RED iris folding and that cute worm!

Good thing Bertie is making martinis and not margaritas! That cute worm could have ended up in the bottom of the tequila bottle! Love your folded apple and that worm is actually cute, although I have never seen such a cute one in real life! Great tribute to Kelly with the canvas background and button! Such a fun card!

Live Well, Laugh Often, Love Much The early bird might get the worm, but I would rather sleep late and eat chocolate!
