I'm baaaacccckkkk! I've finally tossed my sling, had a cortisone shot and started physio for my nagging elbow pains. Plus, I found time to actually take a photo of a card and upload it!
I'm fresh out of teenagers now as my youngest just turned 20 this week. Cleared a path to my stamping desk (literally) and put some of my new goodies to work. New Verve stamps (love 'em), some new circle nesties, a little embossing, a punch or two here and there and some inspiration from the MOJO Monday Sketch #120 and this was the result - and I still love Pacific Point... Had to drop one of the panels in the Mojo Sketch - just couldn't make it look right. Plus it hid the Impressabilites embossing...
So, if anyone happens by after I've been MIA for so long, thanks for taking a peek! Have a great day!
So, I hope this gets me back into the swing of things - I almost feel like a stranger around here I've been out of the loop for so long!

Yeah, you stamped!!! I see you got that lovely Verve set. Isn't that wreath wonderful Lovely embossing folder you used on this card and matched the DP in the sentiment. Great use of the MS punch - I just got it for Christmas. Keep them coming!!

Well just look at this! You and the card I'm talking about. Wow, you've been gone such a long time. Wow, despite the sling, it's pretty darn apparent you havent missed a beat, girl. This is such a striking card. So glad you're moving toward 'getting back in the swing'. We've missed you like crazy.

I did not know you have been mending.... I wish I was on SCS more so I could keep up with special people!!!! Great come back card. gorgeous colors and great textures.
I love cortisone!!! Two years ago I had knee surgery and the surgeon messed it up and the doctor I went to to see why I could not walk, put a cortisone shot in it which let me start walking on it. I probably would still be gimping around if that had not happened. I am so glad you are back. You leave the sweetest comments. tfs.
hugs,

I'm so glad you stopped into my gallery, Heather and led me back to yours!!! I didn't know you were having problems with your elbow. Glad to hear it's feeling better and allowing you to stamp up beauties with your new stuff. This is a wonderful combo of colors, papers, textures and images. I LOVE that fabulous ribbon in perfect harmony with it all.

WELCOME BACK Heather!!! Woo Hoo, you've come back to the Center for Addictive Behavior!!! I knew you couldn't stay away 4-ever. I see now you think my buttons are popping off after the holidays. I can't get anything past you my friend!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your color combo and, you're right, can't cover up all the lovely embossing! I'm loving that copper embossing and I see you've used the arch lattice border punch, some nesties and my fav chocolate pearls. I'd say you've done really well for your 1st card since November. I'm so glad you got to toss that sling!! I'd go on, but I have to run. I was just SO EXCITED to see you back on the "upload" and "upswing", I had to stop and comment!!! I'm expecting a lot out of you know my punch buddy pal!!! TFS!!

Ohhh so you've been recovering too! Nagging elbow pains - oh ouch!! I feel for your Heather! And physio - I'm going myself - and oh boy - it's no picnic , is it! I have Olga the physio and she really works me hard! No nice wrist massages or heat - just flex that wrist - further - more! Pick up that heavy bag - 2 minutes of hot water exercises and then plunge my wrist and hand into freezing cold ice! Ugh!!! I even had to go on Christmas Eve day! I sure hope you've got oh - Stephanie the kindly young physio who massages your elbows -and gives you a heating pad!!!
Now - as to the card - it's wonderful! Way to break back on the scene!!! Gorgeous colour combo - and the M S punch border is delightful! Fabulous embossing too!
Fresh out of teenagers are we? I know the feeling! Our youngest is turning 20 - and while he is still at home - he is working p/t - going to UBC f/t and has had a lovely young lady as a g/f for 18 months now. We have a lovely furbaby as a subsituite child! ;)
